Australian Tree Fern – Cyathea Cooperi
The Australian tree fern is fast growing and can attain a height of up to 10 meters in favourable conditions. It requires moist well drained soil and does best in part shade but will adapt to full sun if not allowed to dry out. It is found in the sub-tropical rainforests and adds an excellent canopy to the tropical garden. It is generally a fairly cold-hardy plant but frost sensitive. They grow best in high humidity with moist soils with a generous mulch application.
