Bromeliads – Various
Originate mainly from the tropical Americas with many cross cultivars developed. They complement the tropical landscape with glossy leaves and long-lived colourful flower spikes. They like a free draining shaded position whilst some become accustomed to full sun. Leaf colour is often as decorative as the flower spikes.
