Elegant Fan Palm – Liquala Elegans
The Elegant Fan Palm is a native of Malaysia, Thailand, and Vietnam. It has very tropical origins however the Elegant Palm is quite cold tolerant and survives happily in warm temperate areas provided the correct situation is provided. It is slow growing to a maximum height of 2 meters and has large spherical leaves. It can be grown indoors in a well-lit location free from draughts or air conditioning. Planted outdoors it requires full to part shade, ideally under the canopy of other palms. Emulate a rainforest floor planting with deep well drained substrate and plenty of mulch.
