Albang Palm
The Bangalow Palm and the Alexandra palm may cross pollinate. We have been lucky enough to obtain seeds of this hybrid palm and grown them successfully at Berkie Palms. As the hybrid matures it develops distinctly different to either of its parent plants. Its trunk is more like that of a Bangalow but with distinct ridges at points of leaf drop. The underside of the fronds is silver similar to an Alexandra. It grows in full sun and is as hardy as the Bangalow and Alexandra Palm. An interesting addition to your tropical landscape.
